Foodborne Bad Guy Wanted Poster | Foodborne Illness Research Project

This Foodborne Bad Guy Wanted Poster is a fun way to research foodborne illnesses.

I teach multiple levels of foods classes and while safety and sanitation is always important to teach, it is difficult to keep fresh and new for each level. I moved my safety and sanitation slogan posters down to the middle school level and now I have this new project at the high school intro level.

Assigning this project and giving the students jigsaw notes (link here: Print pages one and two front to back and cut in half) also gets them through the material quicker which means they can get in the kitchens.

Students are each assigned a foodborne illness to research. They create a poster with the following criteria:

The resulting posters are a fun way to remember information about specific foodborne illnesses and a bright and colorful way to decorate my classroom cupboards.
