This recipe is so easy I’m almost ashamed to share it as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.
I pride myself on providing challenges for my students but sometimes kids just need a treat. I use this little treat to introduce the microwave unit in Junior Foods. But who am I to judge someone who keeps a mix in their cupboards at home for late-night chocolate cravings? Or who keeps a mix on hand for a quick treat for their mentor groups?
It is so. easy.
You will need:
- One angel food cake mix (MUST be angel food because of egg content)
- One cake mix of your choosing (Can be any flavor)
Mix the mixes together and seal in an airtight container. When you’re ready (needing!) to make a quick cake, remember 3-2-1.
- 3 T cake mix
- 2 T water
- Microwave 1 minute (and let stand 1 minute)
Voila! A perfectly portioned fat-free cake in one minute.
